Chipeta Lodge, Ridgway

Chipeta Sun Lodge is a charming retreat with a rustic vibe and breathtaking mountain views, perfect for relaxation after outdoor adventures. The staff provides excellent service and amenities enhance the experience, including a delightful breakfast and relaxing hot pools. However, the restaurant prices and some spa services could be better, as they felt a bit steep for the experience received.

I had a lovely stay at this resort, enjoying the wonderful mountain views and the relaxing hot tub on the deck. The room was generally nice, but I found the bed to be a bit stiff, which impacted my comfort. The staff's friendliness really stood out, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. The breakfast options were excellent, especially with the great value offered by the VIP pass. However, the noise from the cleaning staff and other guests was a bit disruptive at times.

Our stay had some highlights, like charming decor and rustic furnishings, but many aspects fell short, including maintenance issues and a lack of basic amenities. The restaurant being closed for renovations was disappointing, especially since we had just booked a few weeks prior. Overall, while there are some appealing features, the experience was marred by outdated facilities and unkept necessities.

We recently stayed at Chipeta for our 5th wedding anniversary, and while we faced some initial hiccups, the staff turned our experience around. The views from the hot tub were stunning, making the setting picturesque. However, our room had some cleanliness issues which were disappointing given the high cost of our stay. Overall, Chipeta shows great potential, but it could use a bit more attention to detail and upkeep.
